Nanotechnology Innovation for Photovoltaics:
Nano4PVs co-organized with EU "PV Cluster 3"

'Ioannis Vellidis' Congress Centre, 13-14 July 2011, Thessaloniki, Greece

The "Nanotechnology Innovation for Photovoltaics - Nano4PVs Workshop" focuses on nanotechnology innovative ideas and methods applied to PVs.

This Special Workshop is co-organised with EU Photovoltaics Cluster 3 "Third generation PV cells" as a follow-up of the first PV Clusters Workshop of 2010.
It will take place in combination with the ISFOE11 Workshop on Organic Photovoltaics (OPVs) and NN11 WORKSHOP 1.
In this way all the innovative aspects on PVs will be presented during NANOTEXNOLOGY 2011.

The Workshop aims to:
- Bring New Ideas from the Nanotechnology research community to the forefront for the future PVs,

- Reveal the PV R&D innovation in Europe & the Nanotechnology impact on the 3rd Generation PVs,
- Enable closer collaboration, joint activities and strategic partnerships between the Nanotechnology and PV research communities and PV Industry,
- Give a detailed overview of the FP7 NMP, ICT and ENERGY European projects on Photovoltaics,
- Set-up the Nanotechnology Roadmap for the next generation PVs.

The Workshop topics include:

  • 3rd Generation Photovoltaic Cells
  • Nanodots or nanowires based PVs
  • Organic & Dye-Sensitized Photovoltaic Cells
  • Plasmonic PV Cells
  • Innovative nanostructures for future Photovoltaic Cells
  • Thin Film PVs
