Greece Traveling Regulations after Lockdown
Official information from the Greek government on the timeframe for travel restart:
- Monday, May 18: Athens airport opened.
- Monday, June 1: Camps, campsites and year-round hotels opened.
- Monday, June 15: All other accommodation (seasonal hotels and resorts) opened.
- Monday, June 15: First stage of lifting restrictions on international flights took place, with aircraft landing initially at Thessaloniki and Athens Airports.1
- Wednesday, July 1: Second stage of lifting restrictions on international flights at all Greek airports.2
1 All visitors to Thessaloniki Airport will be tested upon arrival. An overnight stay either at a designated hotel or at a hotel/residence of choice (in Thessaloniki) is required.
2 The potential visitors to Greece will not be required to be tested for the coronavirus, nor will they be put in quarantine. However, visitors will undergo sample tests when deemed required.
